About Dr. Ritchey

Dr. Mary Ritchey completed her undergraduate studies at LaSalle University in Philadelphia. After completing her doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1989, she entered private practice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was in this setting that Dr. Ritchey was honored to work with Dr. Robert Morrison, renowned for his work as one of the original developers of the soft contact lens. Dr. Ritchey served as adjunct faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry from 1989-1995.

In 1995, Dr. Ritchey relocated to Kailua and joined the staff at the Cataract & Vision Center of Hawaii. For the past 17 years, Dr. Ritchey has strived to provide quality comprehensive eye care to her patients. She and fellow optometrist Dr. Eri Sugino work alongside Dr. Worldster Lee and Dr. Brandon Lee, providing spectacle and contact lens correction and assisting in the preoperative and postoperative care of our patients. Dr. Ritchey also specializes in low vision aids, providing visual assistance to those patients who are unable to be corrected by traditional glasses or contact lenses.

Outside of work, Dr. Ritchey enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick and daughter Alexandra. She enjoys walking, jogging, swimming and biking with family and friends in Kailua.
