LASIK

What is LASIK eye surgery?

LASIK is a non-invasive laser eye surgery that helps patients live free of contact lenses or glasses. LASIK utilizes a special excimer laser to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK eye surgery begins with an evaluation with a trusted and experienced surgeon who will make sure you are a good candidate for laser vision correction.

Are you a candidate for LASIK?

During your initial free LASIK evaluation we will thoroughly exam your eyes including special testing to ensure that your cornea is healthy enough for laser vision correction. With access to the most up to date lasers we are able to treat a wide range of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

Good candidates are:

-Generally healthy without significant eye conditions that may affect healing or final vision

-Older than 21 years

-Stable prescription for at least 1 year

Dr. Daniel Choi will do a thorough review of your medical history, eye exam, and goals to ensure this procedure is right for you.

Alternatives to LASIK?

In some cases LASIK is not the safest and best option for you, if that is the case Dr. Choi will explain options including PRK, Refractive Lens Exchange, or ICL.
